The Proposal

So a month and a half or so after Fabian and I reconnected, I had bought this notebook that stays on the nightstand by the bed. Every day we write one another in it. So when I wake up I'm usually the first to write something to him, because either he wakes up after me or leaves for work after me, or he doesnt have to work that day. He also gets home before me, so he gets to reads the notebook first and chooses to respond or not, and I usually read it at the end of the day. We fill it with reassurance, love, acknowledgment, uplifting, positive, and caring words. So one day I came home from work, it was a Friday, and he opened the front door. The floor all the way through the hallway was covered in rose petals and candles leading to the bedroom. I looked at him like "Babe! What is all of this?!"... I followed the trail into the room, and found our little black notebook on the floor surround by a rose petals in the shape of a heart. He took my bag from me and told me to go look at it... so I went a kneeled down to read it. As I read his loving message, I got to the final words where he wrote: "Will you marry me" with 2 check boxes "yes" or "no". I turned around in surprise and tears and he was behind me on his knees with a ring. I jumped on him and all of our friends were in the hallway (don't know where the heck they were hiding) but they were taking pictures. So amazing.
