Panoramic View Steel Drums - Musicians & Singers

Active as a drum set artist, steel drummer and percussionist throughout Southern New England, Aaron Abrahamson Cote has recently returned from his fourth international tour.

As a performer, Aaron Abrahamson Cote has worked numerous professional bands and orchestras across the midwest, New England and internationally throughout the Mediterranean & Caribbean regions.

He has also performed on NBC, CBS, FOX, and on multiple National Public Radio (NPR) and local cable stations.

Mr. Cote obtained his Bachelors degree in Music Performance from Butler University, and his Masters degree in Music Performance as a Graduate Teacher & New Music resident at the University of Illinois.

Cote Percussion is dedicated to percussion education and performance. Partnerships across the region, the country & the world have spread the importance of live performing arts and an understanding of what percussion is.

Percussion transcends international, cultural, social, age, and virtually every other border there is. Music is a communication tool that crosses language barriers and expresses emotions that can not be expressed in words. Hence Cote’s insight that “Music is an energy that breaks through anything.”

As an educator, Cote has taught at the University of Illinois, Butler Percussion Camp, The Indianapolis Public School System, & a number of both public and private schools in Rhode Island. Cote has also maintained a private studio for over a decade! With a vast range of students, Cote has taught across age, social, cultural and disability boundaries. He is capable of teaching any age, as his students range from toddlers through the elderly.

Although music education is vastly important, Aaron Abrahamson Cote’s true passion lies in performance. With a captive audience, Cote is able to give educative performances, including clinics for the Rhode Island Music Educators Association, University of Illinois, Butler University, Newport Bridgefest, Butler Vocal Jazz Festival, Girl Scouts of America, Girls, Inc. and others.
