Nominated for best classical group by the LA Weekly in 2005, Arroyo String is your premier performing, special event quartet in the Los Angeles area that has over two decades of experience in the industry.
We love weddings and would love to perform for you on your special day. Our quartet consist of three violinists and one cellist:
Laurence Leeland – first violinist
Laurence has been with the quartet for 20 years while maintaining a busy career with the San Diego Symphony and Opera.
Robert Berg – violist
Robert Berg, our studio musician, has recorded scores of films including the block buster “Titanic”, and also is Professor of Viola at California State University at Northridge. He has recorded with artist like Prince, Elton John, Diana Krall, Alicia Keys, Elvis Costello, Michael Jackson and Neil Diamond.
Janitta Keck – second violinist
Janitta received her advanced musical training at the University of Southern California, and has performed with the the Pasadena Pops, California Philharmonic and Beverly Hills Symphony. She maintains a large teaching studio.
Lisa Fowler – cellist
Lisa is organized, businesslike, and passionate, thus she serves as manager of the group. Lisa has a minor in cello performance from Pomona College in Claremont, California and has performed with the Pasadena Pops, the San Gabriel Valley Symphony, Crown Symphony Orchestra and Beverly Hills Symphony. She also maintains a large studio for teaching students ranging from eight years old to adults.
