Our talented musicians provide the just the right entertainment for Jewish weddings and Mitzvahs. We play fraylachs and horas, Yiddish swing and elegant waltzes. Although steeped in tradition, our musical performances are accessible to guests of all faiths. We provide a variety of musical packages, from a solo vocalist with a guitar to a six or seven piece traditional ensemble. Leader Neil Alexander grew up in a Yiddish and Hebrew speaking family, and has been playing Jewish music since his teens. He has served as an itinerant chazzan at several small congregations in the Midwest.
Our music focuses on 3 traditional sources:
Yiddish / Klezmer (including folk and theater music)
Israeli / Hebrew (including contemporary and dance tunes)
Religious (including music from Chabad/Hassidic, liturgical, and biblical sources)
Dancing is a staple of any traditional Jewish wedding celebration, but if you don't know them, Neil is happy to lead Israeli circle and line dances in a basic way that is easy to follow. Secular music can be easily being incorporated into our private party performances.
We can also provide a fully - equipped DJ, which is a popular option for bar and bat mitzvahs. We look forward to adding just the right musical touch to your next event.
We continue to perform periodically via a streaming You Tube link and could consider providing music virtually at your next event. We still do klezmer and other Jewish music. On-site live performances may be possible subject to state COVID restriction guidelines.
