Jeffrey Olds is quickly climbing the ranks as one of mid-Michigan’s most popular entertainers. He is affectionately known as “Jeff the Magician.” A name given to him by a childhood friend.
While growing up on the outskirts of Flint, Mich., Jeff fell in love with the art of magic at age seven. He had an uncle who knew a few card tricks that would fascinate Jeff for hours. When he was 10, his parents hired a magician to come to the house to perform his sister’s sixth birthday. That was the turning point for Jeff. “I remember that show like it was yesterday. I sat there mesmerized and saw how much fun the magician was having! Even though part of me still wanted to someday become a doctor or fireman, the idea of becoming a professional magician was born that day.”
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1990 and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from Michigan State University in 1993, he now runs his own magical entertainment company across the state of Michigan.
A fan of all types of magic, Jeff makes his living performing close-up or table magic as well as for many corporate events and functions state wide. Jeff also performs for children’s parties and adults shows where he is particularly fond of what is known as “Mentalism,” the magic of mind readings and predictions!!
