Ernesto Cristofolo Oreste Ciardi, is that some name or what? My paternal grandfather, Costabile, must have known that I would be destined to play the accordion because he put one in my hands when I was not yet five and I have been playing since then!
I played my first party for a friend’s mom’s birthday when I was 10 and began playing in restaurants when I was 24. My first wedding was in 1988 and I have been playing for New Year’s Eve celebrations, Christmas parties, weddings, cocktail hours, birthday parties, graduations and in many restaurants for more than a quarter century.
My repertoire runs from traditional Italian wedding and folk songs to lyrical French tunes and classical Spanish tangos, cha-chas, beguines and bossanovas and on to many, many songs by the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, Al Martino, Jerry Vale, Jimmy Roselli and too many others to count.
Playing the accordion is my passion and that passion reveals itself every time I play for someone! Wedding cocktail hours are my specialty, but I can make a success of any venue you have! Call, and let's chat! Ciao for now!
