I’m Joe Mirenzi and I’ve been photographing weddings for over 30 years since 1977. I started out in Pittsburgh and expanded my practice to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. Though I started off shooting with a 35mm, today I use a full frame Nikon D700, providing you with the best images from your big day. I also make your photos especially unique through my unique shooting style and high quality digital imaging.
I have been married over 30 years and have 4 beautiful children. I love my wife, my marriage and my family. These are the reasons why I enjoy being a wedding photographer. Life itself revels in joyful moments. I get renewed for life when I photograph a wedding. I like the interaction of family and friends, of two people getting married–unforgettable moments captured for your lifetime. I would be honored to be a part of your celebration.
I keep up with my craft by attending workshops on digital photography and shooting techniques. I’m a member of the Mountain Top Photo Club and I also conduct several workshops about the different aspects of digital photography. I’m also a member of the Professional Photographers of America.
At Mirenzi Photos, my goal is to make you feel comfortable on the most important day of your life. I’m here to capture every important moment of your wedding day from the moment your groom sees you in your dress to the end of the night when your guests are hitting the dance floor. These are all important memories that will travel with you throughout your life.
I shoot in a variety of styles ranging from candid photo journalistic images to traditional posed photos. I can work with you on what style of wedding photos you’re looking to achieve. After the shoot is over, I spend time editing your images to make sure you end up with the best photos from your day.
