Welcome to the Yellow Rose Carriage Service website. Yellow Rose was founded in 1991 by Clint and Barbara Small who had moved to the Marietta area with their four children in 1989. They already had their four grey horses and were looking for a way to use them to supplement their income. They felt the Mariettta Square, with it's southern charm and beauty, offered a good mix of restaurants, theaters, antique shops, and special events to help draw people to the square.
The business started as a service to people out on the town who might enjoy the ambiance and romance of a carriage ride. It wasn't long until Yellow Rose was performing services for special events like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, proms, parades, and movies.
Prior to any event the horses are bathed, brushed and combed, feet inspected and maintained. Drivers wear tuxedo attire, unless the client requests something else.
We have been priviledged to be part of so many families' special day, and we hope they have a happy memory of beautiful horses and elegant carriages. We enjoy visiting with the many and diverse people who ride with us. We learn from their life-stories and enjoy sharing our stories with them.
