We agree with Laura! Although your DJ doesn't need to strictly do weddings, there is a big difference between wedding DJ's and say a DJ for a birthday party. You will want to make sure your DJ has done a wedding before, or at least know how to MC an event. From announcing your entrance as a newly married couple to playing the right songs, the DJ holds a lot of responsibility when it comes to your wedding reception.

I don't think you have to have one that strictly does weddings. You would however defiantly want one with wedding experience. Your DJ is what will get the party started and keep things flowing.
