So, I chose to go with a DJ I found online, his website was nice, his content was good and it made me believe he was professional.. We didn't have any consultation, I just assumed he knew what he was doing, and what kind of music to play for my particular event. I don't even need to go into detail, all you need to know is my event turned out to be a disaster in the music LESSON: Don't hire a DJ without having a consultation with them!!
Good advice! We definitely encourage meeting with your DJ before your wedding. If meeting with them in person is out of the question, you can even meet with them over Skype or through emails. In the very least, make sure that you at least give your DJ a playlist to help guide them in the right direction.

Use our helpful checklist to remember to set up consultations with your vendors!
