What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base fee starts at $100. This fee base is for weddings in the Savannah, GA area. For weddings in other cities and states- South Carolina and Florida, due to travel expenses the fee is based on location within reason.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Basic information such as, name, date, location and time of ceremony, are required to check and ensure availability. From there I discuss with the partners in life ceremony preference and issue fees and agreements. As we celebrate this journey in love, it is best to know what key elements that you would like to celebrate about your spirituality, love, life and more importantly each other in your ceremony! I pride myself as a friendly professional. If you are out of state or country I have Skype, ZOOM, Whatsapp and Facetime to assist in planning your ceremony. I guide all my brides and grooms in obtaining their marriage license and any additional documents required for your specific locations, e.g. Tybee Island weddings.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained Minister from the Universal Life Church. I continuously go to various wedding seminars and continuing education offered by my ministry. I believe that by joining Toastmaster's, as well it has improved my public speaking skills to be more poignant, meaningful and direct. The more weddings that I offer with special requests, assist in broadening my skills from pop up weddings, all things whimsical and various spiritual practices I continue to learn and grow.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love LOVE and the celebration of love. I became an ordained minister because I enjoy helping people craft their ideal ceremony, not too stuffy, fun and enjoyable. All marriages and commitment ceremonies should start in love and laughter!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Christian, Buddhsit, Non-denominational, Agnostic, Atheist and Spiritual. I am a non-discriminatory officiant and am open to all genders, preferences and orientations.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Have you applied for your marriage license and have you looked at your location options? For Tybee Island check with the Tybee Island Marriage Council before setting a date and time for availability? Interested in any of the public squares, have you checked on availability?
